Diana grew up in Harahan, a small suburb of New Orleans, and has lived in Louisiana her entire life. Diana began studying at the University of New Orleans while still in high school as a select member of the Collegiate Program for Advanced High School Students. After graduation, she enrolled as a full-time student at UNO and earned two Bachelor Degrees from the Liberal Arts College in four years (Communications/Journalism and Political Science/Pre-law).

While maintaining full-time courses, Diana also participated in numerous extracurricular activities, including several honor societies, a philanthropic social sorority, played intramural sports, and served as a member of the Student Congress. Eventually, Diana was elected as President of the Student Government and was appointed by Governor David Treen in 1983 to the LSU Board of Supervisors as the first female student representative and first appointee ever from UNO. In 1984, Diana was recognized by Glamour Magazine as one of its “Top Ten College Women in America.”

After graduation, Diana enrolled in law school at Tulane Law School and eventually earned a Juris Doctorate in 1991 from Loyola Law School in New Orleans, through its night studies program, while working full time during the day for a Metairie law firm. Diana also served as an editorial staff member of the Loyola Law Review, and graduated with Law Review and Moot Court honors, after placing in the “final four” of the Moot Court competition.

After law school, Diana was associated with New Orleans area firms handling primarily products liability, maritime, insurance coverage, personal injury, medical/professional malpractice, worker’s compensation/LHWCA, and general property and casualty defense litigation, as well as subrogation claims. Over the past 27 years of practice, Diana has also handled mass toxic tort litigation and several class action suits, and she has expanded her practice areas to include municipal liability claims, plaintiff personal injury work, successions, real estate, and contract/commercial litigation.

Diana has handled numerous mediations and has successfully litigated cases in both state and federal courts throughout the State of Louisiana. Diana also worked as general in-house counsel for two small businesses, and she currently represents a number of business owners in her practice, providing direct one-on-one advice and legal assistance regarding management issues, such as lease negotiations, personnel disputes, lien enforcement/collections, etc., and related to defense of EEOC/FLSA claims, indemnity disputes, tort, contract, insurance, and tax matters. Diana relocated to the North Shore nearly 20 years ago, where she continues to live and practice law.
