In 1977, Randy P. Angelle, as a first year attorney, formed a partnership with the late Louis E. Bernard. From that point forward, Bernard & Angelle, APLC provided the Lafayette, Breaux Bridge and surrounding communities with decades of competent, courteous, and professional representation. During nearly 34 years of expert legal service, Bernard & Angelle, APLC, continued to expand its footprint from both a geographic and legal services perspective. As it rounded into the 21st Century, Bernard & Angelle, APLC, and its principal owner, Randy P. Angelle, provided their clients with a multi-attorney, multi-dimensional full service law firm.
Meanwhile, Boyer & Hebert, LLC was formed in August of 2005, after much forethought and careful deliberation by its founding members, Mark D. Boyer and Bart J. Hebert. Brian K. Abels joined the firm in 2008, and the firm name was changed to Boyer, Hebert & Abels, LLC on February 1, 2009. Boyer, Hebert & Abels, LLC expanded its services and practice areas over the next few years; providing expert legal service to the Denham Springs, Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and Breaux Bridge communities, while continuing to represent clients from all corners of the State of Louisiana and certain regions of the United States.
On April 1, 2011, Bernard & Angelle, APLC merged with Boyer, Hebert & Abels, LLC to form Boyer, Hebert, Abels & Angelle, LLC. In December 2019 Abels left the practice to serve the elected position as Judge for the 21st Judicial Court of Louisiana, and in January 2020, A. Todd Caruso Law Office, LLC merged his solo practice with the firm and it was renamed Boyer, Hebert, Caruso & Angelle, LLC. From the merger sprung a law firm replete with exceptional experience, expertise, and energy. We, the attorneys at BHCA, have unparalleled perspective, a shared commitment to the client and the cause, and a unique blend of talent.
We learned our trade by starting in the trenches of small and large firms alike-each fraught with fast paced litigation practices. It is that experience, along with a desire to build and sustain a practice embedded with the character, integrity, and zeal of its members, that gives us confidence as we represent our clients throughout the State of Louisiana.
We firmly believe in building long lasting relationships with our clients- relationships built on trust and commitment. We want our clients to know that we are always available, always committed to their cause, and always zealously and passionately representing their interests wherever the venue. The success of our firm and that of our clients are inextricably linked, and our attorneys and staff members work every day with the existence of that common interest in mind.
Our attorneys and staff members are on the cutting edge of the latest technological advances in legal research, legal filings, and communications, helping us to run an extremely efficient and responsive practice. We understand the need for prompt and accurate reporting on the status and development of our clients’ files. We also recognize that not every case should make its way to trial-as there are numerous benefits to alternative resolutions. However, when the need arises, BHCA is staffed and ready to try the simplest of cases to the most complex and detailed litigation matters in the State of Louisiana.
It is our desire to build and maintain an ethical and professional law practice beaming with the small town values of its members, surpassed only by the skill, efficiency, and talents of its attorneys and staff members. Simply stated, we want our families, friends, clients and business partners to be proud of their affiliation with Boyer, Hebert, Caruso & Angelle, LLC.
